Satellite-based health check for forests and green spaces

ESA feasibility study SequOIA-CAM uses novel data science & AI methods to showcase the potential for monitoring the CO2 storage capacity and health status of trees.

After 8 months of intensive work, we have now reached a major milestone with the successful completion of the feasibility study and are now looking forward to the upcoming demonstrator phase.

With the SequOIA-CAM concept, we are developing a comprehensive end-to-end service for biological carbon accounting, vegetation monitoring and carbon storage simulations for sustainable cities, regions, forest owners and forestry companies.

SequOIA-CAM uses the unique capabilities of satellite-based Earth observations to enable a cost-efficient continuous monitoring with the required coverage and high spatial and temporal resolution. We are thus well on the way to being able to offer integrated services for an accurate quantification of carbon storage in forests and its development over time.

Are you an interested potential user, associated partner or do you know a company that would like to enter the demonstrator phase with us? Please contact us at sales@olt-dss.com and get in touch with us for an informal exchange. We look forward to hearing from you.
